Summary | 0016801: Fullscreen resolution weirdness
Description | I sometimes play SBR on my laptop's built-in 1366x768 display (when lying in bed) and other times on my 1920x1080 external display (when at my desk). When I start the game, it uses whichever fullscreen resolution it last used, even if that was for the other display. It should probably detect the current resolution and use that. Also, the game is quite happy to use 1920x1080 on the smaller laptop display if it starts up with it (although using a non-native resolution isn't great), but the resolution list only goes up to 1680x1050 (which it's also happy to use) without the external display plugged in.

This is thanks to steam's cloud save. It's working as intended in terms of what the game does (let's you choose your own stuff and then keeps it rather than trying to redirect it), but the resolution conflict problem was not something that I anticipated at all! I'll have to break out the machine-specific stuff into a separate file that is not cloud saved. Thanks for the note! |
General game settings are saved in the cloud? Nice! :-) I may have misunderstood your explanation, but in case you misunderstood the problem I should note that this is all on the same laptop that sometimes has an external display connected and sometimes doesn't. An 11" Macbook Air (pre-Retina) pays for its delightful portability in pixels. |

Ohhhh, I see. Yeah, that's a different issue then. Well, I can make an "always default to native screen resolution on start" checkbox that you can turn on, then. |
That would work, thanks. I'm glad I accidentally pointed out the cloud save thing as well. ;-) |
For 0.904: * Added a new toggle to the graphics tab of the settings window: "Always Default To Native Screen Resolution" ** If this is checked, the game will use the resolution of your monitor on load, rather than trying to load your previously selected preference. Thanks :) |
