Summary | 0017031: Opening a window in construction mode does not cancel construction
Description | When you select a building for construction (so that the green buildable land icons come up) and then open a window like the City screen the construction mode stays active. Which means, clicking somewhere on that newly opened window, (for example the close button), will also build the previously selected building in that location.

Construction mode is supposed to stay open, for your convenience. But mouse clicks are definitely not supposed to bleed through. You're saying that happens on the city management screen, is that right? If there are other windows where that happens, please just let us know and we'll fix them as you find them. Thanks! |
|
There are 3 types of behaviors: 1.) Buildings can be build while the following windows are open: Window types: City Grid; Planetary Temperature Effects; Atmosphere; Progress towards your victory 2.) Buildings can be build but the new building only shows up when you exit the window: City Management window 3.)Building can not be built except on the tile below the "close" button: Diplomacy Window |

That is fantastic detail, thank you! :D |

Happy to help |

For 0.872: * Added some more general "if hud blocking windows are open, don't allow mouse events on the map" logic. Prevents placing of buildings while looking at the temperature window, for example. ** Also added some more general "if left-clicking a window close button, ignore the next left mouseup event". Prevents placing a building by clicking the diplomacy window close button when it just happened to be over a valid spot, for example. Thanks :) |
