Summary | 0017357: How about a Mothball widgit?
Description | Basic idea would be some sort of pop up menu that would allow mass power toggling of building types. Mainly military buildings is what I'm thinking. Idea would be you could quickly check box what type of buildings to all turn on or off with a tooltip saying this will cost X crowns and how much power it will save or use. Ideally you could choose each type individually. That way you could say, turn off all your Shipyards after you've shelled all of the enemy's coast provinces but leave the helipads on. Or you could turn all of your Offensive buildings off but leave the intercepters on during peace, or vice versa. It'd also be useful if you just want a few installations on: turn everything off then manually turn on the couple you want.

Switching of all military in one selected territory sounds nice too. |

Specs: Hotkey for mass-disabling/enabling of a building by type: Shift+X. -- When this is held down, it should override the regular single-building one. -- The tooltip over the enable/disable button in the building details menu should mention this new hotkey. -- The tooltip that you get when hovering over a building with this key combo held down should say how many buildings are currently in existence of this type, and how many of those are disabled. It should then say how many will be enabled or disabled based on your click. -- If any are enabled, then it should be a mass disable action. If all are disabled, then it should be a mass enable. -- It should never enable a building that would put you over power budget (so if you have power for 20 but you have 25 buildings, go ahead and enable 20). Same deal with the crown cost (which it should show you) to mass-enable these. --- If there’s a shortage of one or the other, it should tell you that, too. |

Hmm that's pretty good too. Simple and clean. I like it =] |

For 0.900: * Added new KeyBind: Hold For Mass Enable/Disable ** While this is held along with the "Enable Or Disable Building Mode" key, left-clicking a building you own will toggle whether all buildings you own of that type are enabled or disabled. ** Note: this defaults to LeftShift, and the main enable-or-disable key defaults to X. Thanks :) |
