You mean in terms of having no smooth movement to the camera at all? There is not, no -- in the latest version we've actually changed around the camera substantially so that it stays clipped to the room better rather than being so focused on the ship (since that leads to being able to see more of what you're doing).

You can close this one. I can see why you don't want to lock the camera. This seems better than before, but doesn't really solve my problem. What's happening for me is that when I'm moving my ship, suddenly the direction of my weapon is changing because the camera is now to the left or right of where my cursor was.

Maybe I'm just a newbie who doesn't know how to play these games. Still really fun though.

Chris, this is a huge issue and I wish you'd respond to my bug report/forum thread on this. This isn't a good idea IMO precisely because of what Cyborg said. When I play, I want to keep my angle of attack more or less static. This is how it used to be and this is what Nuclear Throne does. I don't want to constantly juggle the movement of the mech as well as the location of the reticule at the same time. It's unnatural and IMO really messes up much of the quality of the 'feel' that has been attained and it causes weird aiming issues.

Thanks!

* The game no longer clamps to the room boundaries by default (unlike the last few versions). For some people that behavior will be preferable, but since a lot of people liked it fine without that, we've made the default not to use the clamping. The option to enable that is now in the Game tab directly in the settings menu.
