Summary | 0018309: Cursor Should Lock to Buttons When Using Gamepad
Description | Currently, when the game detects that you're using the gamepad on the menus, you use the directional pad instead of the mouse to move the cursor and select something from the menu. In most games that use gamepads, pressing the directional keys simply moves between different options. For example, if I want to move between "Continue" and "Tutorials", I have to hold the directional pad down key for 2 seconds or so, as opposed to simply pressing "down" twice. It's not a critical thing, but as a guy who plays almost entirely on gamepad, even before I got to the actual game itself seeing this said to me, "This game was not designed with you and your gamepad in mind! You're not playing the right way, and you're going to have a terrible time!"

For 0.901 the file select screen, in-file main menu, and new-run screen have all been overhauled with more direct gamepad support. The level-up screen and end-of-floor screen also have it. Thanks :) |
