Summary | 0018915: Zombot buildup can cause major performance hit
Description | In certain rooms where (I think they are called) Zombots spawn from a certain point, if there are too many Zombots the game slows to a crawl. This is more likely to happen in maze-like rooms, where it can take a bit to work your way through to where they are spawning. Admittedly, this is on an older cpu (Athlon 64 X2 4600+) so it may not be an issue on more current systems. Maybe there could be a cap on how many can be in the room at a given time.

Yeah, it's not your CPU, heh. The way in which I coded the Zombots was a bit boneheaded. :) For the latest patch I've redid how they work so that they're much much more efficient. Plus there's a cap now, to prevent insane quantities of them from spawning. Thanks! |
