Summary | 0019100: Improving feedback on selected ships
Description | This is a continuation of Mantis bug 0019080, so see that for context. There's pretty minimal feedback for when I've clicked on a unit. Lets say it's a battle and I've clicked on my flagship to frantically tell it to start building turrets/more ships. Now in theory I would know that the flagship is my selected unit because it has the little selection ring, but in the thick of combat that's often completely invisible (surrounded by icons/ships). So in practice I wind up desperately hoping I've clicked correctly, or pausing the game to check if the selection ring is there, which is obnoxious. I think we need stronger feedback for what elements are selected, especially because you often need to select things in combat, then interact with nested menus for them. One possible approach involves setting the tooltip text in the bottom right to talk about whatever units are selected.
