Description | In AIWC, double clicking a unit would select all units of that type regardless of mark level, and triple clicking would select only that mark level. This was quite handy behaviour, and would be good to have back. | ||||

This is less critical since there is now only one mark level per ship type, and since you can use [ and ] to cycle through unit types. The double click behaviour would still be nice, but it's hardly a must have. |

What exactly was the functionality, again? Maybe it should be made to work like the linked 0019675 suggests? |

An example for AIWC behaviour. Suppose on a planet you had a bunch of Mark 1, 2 and 3 fighters. If you double click on your Mark II fighters then it selects all Fighters. If you triple click then it selects only the Mark II fighters. |

Ah, right. So the quest is if we want it to double-click to select all of that type, or double-click to select all of that type that is visible on the screen right now. The triple-click one has no meaning in this version. |

I vote for everything on the current screen, since A. that's what AIWC did and B. it will be much easier |

Ah I should've checked beforehand if this was suggested, apologies. I agree with Badger that it should be everything on current screen, as far as I know this is how it works in just about every RTS game, and having it work similarly would ease getting into the game. |

I spent a few minutes looking at this and it seems like when you double click it actually generates a bunch of double click events. I wasn't sure what to make of that. |

That...explains why all the units flash once, like it...selected them all then unselected. In which case it's a bug and not a to be added function? |

The double-click behavior is now different, but works a lot better than it was recently. And the whole thing with multiple mark levels no longer makes sense of course. Now it's based around either the fleet or the ship type, contextually. |
