Summary | 0019534: Nukes feel underwhelming.
Description | I've not really experimented with EMPs or lightning warheads, but nukes definitely don't seem to pack much of a punch. They evaporate fleetships, sure, but those things rebuild super fast anyhow. I want to see some guardians going down! My Ark and my own flagships should feel threatened if I'm stupid or unlucky enough to detonate a nuke on my own planet. My suggestions, take them with a grain of salt: - Make nukes insta-kill all fleetships of any mark up through IV, if they don't already. - Same with starships of any mark up through IV. - Any flagships of the player or the AI should be put at death's door; basically just put them to 10% health or 5% health if that would be a reduction. - Any guardians below mark IV should be insta-killed. - Any guardians of mark IV should be lose the equivalent of 66% of their total health, which may or may not kill them. - Any guardians, flagships, and fleetships of mark V and up should be lose the equivalent of 33% of their CURRENT health, which would put them at 1 health at minimum. This becomes like Demi from the FF series. - Any king units or other Really Special things like Spire, Devourer, etc, should probably lose 10% of their current health, so again it's like Demi. - Except for the player Ark, which should lose 90% of its current health, so like an extreme Demi, I'd say. Basically at this point it's scary to use nukes, and really satisfyingly powerful, but if the player is wanting to soften up the AI homeworld, they're going to be getting very diminishing returns after the first couple of nukes thanks to the Demi nature of this. For EMPs and lightning warheads, I have no idea if they feel appropriately solid or not, but this was my observation with nukes thus far.
