Summary | 0020038: Unexpected Thread error starting tutorial
Description | I had just started the client. I waited at the Main Menu screen for like 10 seconds without doing anything, then I clicked on "Single Player" and hit "Tutorial". I hit this error: 8/29/2018 3:20:12 PM Warning! Tried to start work thread when it was already running at System.Environment.get_StackTrace () [0x00000] in <f826c2584fc94ec19a48a6576640bdc5>:0 at Arcen.Universal.ArcenDebugging.ArcenDebugLog (System.String Message, Arcen.Universal.DebugLogDestination Destination, System.Boolean IncludeStackTrace, Arcen.Universal.Verbosity Verbosity) [0x00000] in <92df99e70523444fafb4afb4ea208dc8>:0 at Arcen.Universal.ArcenDebugging.ArcenDebugLog (System.String Message, Arcen.Universal.DebugLogDestination Destination, Arcen.Universal.Verbosity Verbosity) [0x00000] in <92df99e70523444fafb4afb4ea208dc8>:0 at Arcen.Universal.ArcenDebugging.ArcenDebugLog (System.String Message, Arcen.Universal.Verbosity Verbosity) [0x00000] in <92df99e70523444fafb4afb4ea208dc8>:0 at Arcen.AIW2.Core.Engine_AIW2.StartWorkThread (System.Threading.ThreadStart methodToRun) [0x00000] in <6e3ccb22aea746c694d2a32b2c878a54>:0 at Arcen.AIW2.Core.World_AIW2.GenerateMap (System.Boolean IsRegeneration) [0x00000] in <6e3ccb22aea746c694d2a32b2c878a54>:0 at Arcen.AIW2.Core.Engine_AIW2.InnerDoStartNewWorldOKLogic (Arcen.AIW2.Core.ScenarioData Scenario) [0x00000] in <6e3ccb22aea746c694d2a32b2c878a54>:0 at Arcen.AIW2.External.Window_MainMenu+bOpenTutorial.HandleClick_Subclass () [0x00000] in <91229e16fc8b45278abf45678b765e58>:0 at Arcen.AIW2.External.ButtonAbstractBase.HandleClick (MouseHandlingInput input) [0x00000] in <91229e16fc8b45278abf45678b765e58>:0 at Arcen.Universal.ArcenUI_Button.OnClick (UnityEngine.EventSystems.PointerEventData eventData) [0x00000] in <92df99e70523444fafb4afb4ea208dc8>:0 at Arcen.Universal.ArcenUI_Button.OnPointerClick (UnityEngine.EventSystems.PointerEventData eventData) [0x00000] in <92df99e70523444fafb4afb4ea208dc8>:0 at UnityEngine.EventSystems.ExecuteEvents.Execute (UnityEngine.EventSystems.IPointerClickHandler handler, UnityEngine.EventSystems.BaseEventData eventData) [0x00008] in C:\buildslave\unity\build\Extensions\guisystem\UnityEngine.UI\EventSystem\ExecuteEvents.cs:50 at UnityEngine.EventSystems.ExecuteEvents.Execute[T] (UnityEngine.GameObject target, UnityEngine.EventSystems.BaseEventData eventData, UnityEngine.EventSystems.ExecuteEvents+EventFunction`1[T1] functor) [0x00073] in C:\buildslave\unity\build\Extensions\guisystem\UnityEngine.UI\EventSystem\ExecuteEvents.cs:261 at UnityEngine.EventSystems.StandaloneInputModule.ProcessMousePress (UnityEngine.EventSystems.PointerInputModule+MouseButtonEventData data) [0x00181] in C:\buildslave\unity\build\Extensions\guisystem\UnityEngine.UI\EventSystem\InputModules\StandaloneInputModule.cs:569 at UnityEngine.EventSystems.StandaloneInputModule.ProcessMouseEvent (System.Int32 id) [0x00031] in C:\buildslave\unity\build\Extensions\guisystem\UnityEngine.UI\EventSystem\InputModules\StandaloneInputModule.cs:466 at UnityEngine.EventSystems.StandaloneInputModule.ProcessMouseEvent () [0x00003] in C:\buildslave\unity\build\Extensions\guisystem\UnityEngine.UI\EventSystem\InputModules\StandaloneInputModule.cs:446 at UnityEngine.EventSystems.StandaloneInputModule.Process () [0x00072] in C:\buildslave\unity\build\Extensions\guisystem\UnityEngine.UI\EventSystem\InputModules\StandaloneInputModule.cs:221 at UnityEngine.EventSystems.EventSystem.Update () [0x000f9] in C:\buildslave\unity\build\Extensions\guisystem\UnityEngine.UI\EventSystem\EventSystem.cs:294 Note that this is very unpredictable. Sometimes I hit it twice in a row when starting the client, other times never. Presumably some sort of race condition. This bug has been around for a while

Keith, anything you can figure out is appreciated. Thanks! |

I think we fixed this, but for now we can't start the tutorial anyway because it's disabled. If we see it again, let's look into it. |
