Summary0020560: Cursed golem mating season?
DescriptionHad this funny bug where when the cursed golem would die on neutral or enemy planet, I would have to reclaim it by installing a station on the said planet, but upon fixing the golem suddenly another broken golem appears on the same spot! So now I have two golems instead of one... next time I... ahem... "tried" having them both killed.
After reclaiming them I successfully had four golems! So maybe I could get them to further multiply themselves? From four to eight to sixteen? AI difficulty 10 sounds a bit more plausible for me to beat now!

I had one other report of this, haha. I'm not sure why they are doing that, but that sure is fun. I will fix this bug soon, but I think this would actually make a fun mechanic for some unit to have on purpose. :)

This was observed earlier by HeartHunter, but I didn't have any luck reproducing the problem with his save. Hopefully I'll have better luck this time.

Chris, my hypothesis is that there's something wrong with the unit Transformation code; it's a GameCommand now that takes an argument for units to spawn.

Managed to clone an armored golem today.
Looks like the old one gets transformed into inactive form + spawns another.

I talked it out with the golems and they agreed to stop mating during game time. :P
