Summary | 0020573: Easily See Ranges of Single Squads
Description | I liked that in Classic, if you held down "z" and moused over a target, it would highlight that unit's range circle more clearly than the normal outline of it. This worked on the AI ships and structures as well. I would like it if there was a way to look at the range of a single unit more clearly (for instance to see the range of a nasty AI guard post or dire guardian), without having to study the ranges of all enemies on the planet and trying to find the ring that contains the unit you're afraid of at the center.

Oh, my bad. We already can just push "z" and mouse over a single unit to see the range. Maybe still have the ring have a color to the inside of only the one you're mousing over, so you can see what you have selected (or all targets via shift+z) while still being able to see the one you are hovering over more distinctly? It might not be all that useful now, you may choose to ignore this suggestion if you wish. I don't know how I didn't notice I could just push "z" and target a single ship with it. ^.^' |
