If the AI has a ton of access to cloaking then maybe some ability to give fleets anti-cloaking would be worthwhile. Maybe something you have to spend science on? I don't think every fleet should just automatically have anti-cloaking. |

You know how we have those things that people can hack to get dark spire wraiths or whatever for a fleet? What if we seeded some other capturables here and there that people could hack to add... whatever decloaker we choose to the fleet doing the hacking? I mean, we could just make it a science interface thing instead, but part of me likes making this be a quest and a strategic decision. Right now it is almost like we don't have enough currencies, though -- science is scarce and meant to be spent on broad unlocks. It's like we need a sub-science thing. Maybe I'll just play this into the fleet EXP... I have a good idea for that, I think. But having _both_ things be possible (find a thing and hack it to get a decloaker) as well as my other plan seem like a good idea to me. Flexibility and all that. |

My thoughts went towards having Combat Sentry Frigates as part of Combat Factory support fleets, but that might be too unreliable. I'll leave it for now, since you have your own ideas which seem better. |

I'd actually enjoy that as being a thing, and there are some ways we are supposed to be able to add in "guaranteed extra things that always go in there (fleet_design_templates_i_always_grant SHOULD work alongside the usual fleet_design_logic_i_grant_one_from and give you a combined result), but we don't have to do that right now and I've not tested that specific thing. |

So for now I'm actually adding in those Sentry Frigates, since I kind of find Combat Factories to be a bit of a dud capture. Yes, mobile reinforcement and repair is powerful, but I kind of have the thought of "capture one and done". The "fleet_design_templates_i_always_grant" appears to work just fine. You can get a Factory with all Frigates, which is possibly a bit interesting. |
