Summary | 0021403: Ships using splite in attack order
Description | Ships using splite in attack order, and part of the ships fall back from enemy Guard post, so cant attack him. Like 2 Siege frigates on the screen(blue line). I only clicked right click on enemy Guard post with all Siege Frigates.

I'm guessing that this is the decollision logic, which was something I knew would come up eventually when there are enough ships that are big enough. They try to stop just in range in order to fire, but then move out of range sometimes in order to not be all clumped up. Generally speaking they should then move back in and out constantly, which is nonideal but at least gets them so that they can shoot sometimes. Them not shooting at all is very strange. A savegame with this would be helpful, maybe the save from the other issues 0021404 handles that? I'd be interested to know. At any rate, my plan is to add a "lock on" feature where if a ship gets within a certain range of their explicit target, and then decollides out of range, they're still able to shoot at it. That's been on my list for a while, but I keep forgetting about it. |

Decollision causes another little problem. Units under Forcefields will often be forced out of them. |
