Description | Here's a couple of Quality of Life suggestions: Centerpieces: When putting a Transport Ship or other Centerpiece on or off FRD this affects all ships of the fleet. Even those constructed during selecting and putting on FRD. If a Centerpiece is given the "Load" or "Unload" command all ships in the fleet will load/unload. Newly built ships will spawn inside the Centerpiece if it has received the "Load" command. "Gather Fleet at Centerpiece": A command to cause all ships of a Centerpiece, on all planets to move towards the Centerpiece. "Destroy all Constructs of Centerpiece": Destroys all forces from a Centerpiece. Useful when relocating Battlestations/Citadels from one planet to the next and moving the defense turrets/structures/planet-movement-only ships with it. Matter Converter: Does the same an Energy Converter does, only inverted: Produces Metal from Energy. Useful when having tons of energy but no metal. Not sure if this is in the game right now, but Matter converters should be the first thing to shut off if there is not enough energy. Also, Energy Converters should shut off if the additional energy is not required at the moment, but still indicate this as "buffer energy" in the HUD to show that energy can go higher than the listed value. | ||||

Matter Converter is the correct term for what exists. I don't think I really like the idea though...it feels like a no brainer thing to do whenever you have excess energy - there's no downside to it, unlike Matter Converters which have an upkeep to giving you that effectively higher "global pop cap" or that buffer against brownouts. Regarding the Fleet stuff - "Destroy all Constructs of Centerpiece" - already exists. Right click the Fleet in the Fleet Menu and hit the Scrap button when looking at the galaxy. Scraps everything of it everywhere. |

I think all of these have either been implemented or are just not going to be implemented (the "energy to metal converter", for example, would be OP) |
