Summary0021441: Multiplayer: Lobby.
DescriptionMan this is going to take forever. But the ability of players to connect to a host who has the lobby open, and then they all see the changes that are being made, is pretty much a given as far as requirements go.

That means chat in the lobby, which I have the interface for, and it also means making sure that all the clients get sync on the things they aren't allowed to change, and that most of the controls don't allow the clients to edit them.

Then there are some controls (the settings for the client's own faction) that are only editable by the client themselves.

A way to skip this for the first few multiplayer versions would be nice. Basically making it so that the host sets up everything as in a solo game and just adds some extra human player slots, that cause the other players to connect to them and take them over (taking their color and name preferences from their local profiles) would be good.

There's nothing super duper HARD about all this, but it's probably the number one time-consuming thing for multiplayer.
