Summary | 0021460: Flagships head to lower left corner when right-click attack command issued | ||||
Description | When you issue a right-click direct attack order when a Fleet is selected (by hotkey in my case), the Flagship for the fleet runs off to the lower left corner of the system. This a) sends the Flagship off by itself to get crippled, and b) if new units spawn, they immediately die because the untouched defenses focus them down as they have no other ships in support. To replicate: 1) Select fleet as a fleet (such as by hotkey) 2) Issue right-click attack order on AI unit 3) All strikecraft attack unit as expected, Flagship heads for lower left of system. Note that the point the flagship heads for seems random, I did this with 3 fleets selected and all 3 flagships headed for the bottom left, but not the same spot. I can do a save if needed, but this has been consistent ever since I installed the latest version so I assume it is easily replicatiable. | ||||

They could be pathing to (0,0), but I don't know what would be going on in the code to make ships do that. After I get back from work I'll go add some kind of check for "No weapons --> Don't move", much like how snipers currently are. |

Confirmed, the code was causing ships to path to 0,0. This is fixed, and now ships without weapons that are ordered to attack instead stop in place. Can be marked as fixed. |
