Summary | 0021524: Give a hack to shut down Exo- Wormhole invasions
Description | Exo Wormholes are terrifying. Nothing stops them from appearing say, right next to our homeworld, then allowing the ai to spawn a wave against it via the wormhole. i propose a hack that lets us shutdown Exo wormholes immediately. Costs x (maybe 70) and doubles in cost every time. The AI also gets one mega wave/pulse based off of hack response after the hack is complete on the planet where the Exo wormhole is. Since wormholes are (usually) mid to late game, and rare but deadly once they strike, the hack price should be expensive enough to dissuade multiple uses, but enable us to counter them once or twice.

Sounds like a good idea and I would definitely like to have this. I also would like to suggest a special kind of tech or building to protect against wormhole invasions, maybe for every 20 levels of command stations the player gains 1 global instance of this building (maybe "Wormhole Dissipator") which directs the wormhole invasion to the nearest planet that is not protected by a Dissipator. So if the average level of player command stations is 1 the player would need 20 planets to protect 1. If the player has upgraded the command stations to level 3 just 7 command stations will gain the player one protected planet. If the player fights on his planets and ranks them up all the way to level 5 then already 1 out of 4 planets can be protected. This way the amount doesn't get out of hand and scales with the player territory, but the player is also rewarded for upgrading his command stations which (to be honest) I don't really find myself doing if I can upgrade forcefields instead... |

Add an expensive hack to destroy an exogalactic wormhole. Needs testing and probably some balance work |
