Summary | 0021528: Citadel Targeting Priority is too high
Description | BadgerBager asked me to post these issue separatly for easier tracking. In one of my longer games, I have noticed that the AI prioritize killing Citadel quite highly. I have not tested it extensively and I have no save game to give you yet (sorry). I have survived tough situations by juggling my citadels back and forth planets when their shielding was nearly gone. One being owned by me so the engineers would repair it's shielding quickly and I could send it back to tank more damage. I have done this against a wave of 3k snipers that could have wiped all my turrets if they wanted to, instead they would just fire upon the citadels. I remember also doing this when trying to invade another planet that was getting heavy reinforcment from the warden/hunter fleet. I think I send citadels back and forth a good 4 times before I cleared something like 300 strength of Hunter/Warden. At another time, while being under attack by a 800 strenght DarkSpire attack, I survived because they would mostly ignore my turrets/military command covering the bottom wurmhole they would come from to go all the way to the top of the planetary well to attack my 2 citadels near another wurmhole. I then juggled them like I previously explained and let my towers destroy the DarkSpire who had decided to either go for the command center or a support fleet kiting them around. The citadel tanking gave me time and split their offensive into a managable situation (I thought I was going to lose when I saw that crazy ammount of DarkSpire strenght)

priority_as_frd_target="MajorPlanetLevelObjective" priority_as_ai_target="MajorPlanetLevelObjective" For Command Stations. Importance is 2000 on both of those. priority_as_ai_target="BigThreateningWeapon" priority_as_frd_target="BigThreateningWeapon" For Citadels. Importance is 1000 on both of those. So for some reason, despite the Command Station having a higher priority, Citadels are still being shot first... |

Does anyone have a save game that shows this scenario? |
