Description | While our ship stacking does make the game easier, I am talking about the AI waves. In this save, on planet Pausch (my wave-killing planet), you can see 4.5k stacked ships being repulsed by a single military command station. The few that get near my line of defence get obliterated. It would take a very very large AI wave to have any chance at destroying my defenses and I dont see it happening. This is difficulty 9. | ||||

Is it the knockback? A reduction in firepower? |

I would say the firepower is not the issues. The knockback/engine slow is knocking out of the fight 8 stacks of 30 strikecrafts, so 240ish ships every 2 seconds. I wonder how the military commands would feel if it would not knockback but do more damage, laster-like damage or area damage instead. I have often been annoyed by the knockback as it makes fights slower by taking ships out of the turrets killzone. However in situations with huge stacks it certainly is overpowered, unless the srikecraft are snipers, it makes them even more difficult to kill! |

So some of this is that you have a very heavily fortified planet just being attacked by generic fleetships. You should really have a giant advantage in this scenario. However, I'm going to reduce knockback's effectiveness against stacks anyway |

I've made knockback less effective against stacks. Note that this planet still very comfortably survives the attack though. |

Yeah, my planet will survive waves pretty confortably. If the wave can at least knock out the tractor beams and some towers then an usurper wave and maybe a coordinated AI hunter attack could have a shot at destroying it if I don't respond. |
