Description | From Discord Discussion: I'm thinking instead of some of the fleets you get "upgrades" that you can somehow apply to a fleet, like upgrade this transport to be cloaked or have a forcefield or something I know waaay back there was an idea to use tech to do that to units So some planets make your units better, some make your flagships better, some give you new flagships, etc The fleet spam of 10 fleets is just a bit much chris did seem open to the idea of perks or modules Maybe only allow one per fleet, and make they spawn farther out, like between new fleets and the arks in distance from HW Thinking about UX, they'd have to be hackables so you can "pick" who gets it? yeah theres gotta be something that makes stealth custom fleets not automatically better than everything else | ||||

Why would these necessarily have to replace certain instances of capturable fleets? Are you finding that there are too many capturable fleets for your taste? |

In my current game I had 10+ fleets running around by end game. That seemed to be to be bit much to me. I had concerns that buffing those fleets would inspire more deathball behavior, but I'm not married to the replace idea. |

Okay, I can see that. The idea of capturable fleet upgrades is interesting, although it would be redundant with fleet perks unless the systems are specially designed to avoid that. But it's worth exploring. |
