Summary0002211: Add auto FRD behavior to non redirecting rally posts or FRD behavior to redirect rally posts when redirect is to the same planet
DescriptionIt would be nice to have units that gather at an FRD'ed rally post (your own or allied, if rally to allied posts is not turned off) FRD'ed on any world.
Currently one can set military to auto FRD on one's own planets and manufacture auto FRD'ed military units by placing the constructor's gather point in FRD mode but the rally post thing would be helpful in other cases.

The parent was closed I assume due to the implementation of redirect rally post FRDing. But...
We still need an easy, hassle free, way to auto FRD military (and econ for that matter if possible) on allied worlds without having to mess with sending them to a redirect rally post on another world first (this gets hard to manage, well not so much hard, it's flat out irritating).

Either frding at an frded rally post, anywhere, or turning on redirect rally post frding for the planet the post is on (can redirect within the same system) would fix this one for good!

Note - just to be clear same system FRDed redirection does not work, the redirection part works fine within a system and if you redirect to another system the FRD part works too but the FRD fails when the redirect is local.

Another note on this topic - I've finally converted to trying to make the best of the redirect posts as frd mechanisms for allied and neutral worlds but I have to say that as you advance it creates an every increasing web of pain to reorganize as one shifts military production focus from world to world and can kind of create a "queue the circus music" moment of panic when you need to redirect to a nearby world (due to an unexpected attack) with a redirect post on it that you have forgotten.. (the ships of course immediately leave that world for where ever the post is set to).
The worm holes/warp gates or whatever they are called (the buildings that instantly transport newly built stuff from the fab to a location) help a bit but the 1 min no move penalty make it kind of rough in a hot zone (they wind up being used, more or less, like redirect posts on nearby worlds) and, in general, they are only of use when there's truly a long way to go (which does occur of course).

Woa, took me a moment to parse the title of this report. Must of been the number of times "redirect" and its various forms were in the title.

Anyways, very much yes to this.
