| Description | When you have a fleet containing Forcefield Frigates, and you place the fleet on Pursuit or Attack-Move orders, this also applies to the Forcefield Frigate. Since the frigate - which does have a gun - is instructed to attack-move (and auto-kite is enabled), it gets *really fussy* about which move orders it will actually follow. It's quite annoying. I frequently have to manually select my shield frigates and take them off attack-move mode so I can park them where I want them to be. My preference would be for forcefield frigates, and other ships which are essentially just shield bearers, to ignore Attack-Move orders. | ||||

Sorry for the confusion; I realized that the Forcefield Frigate *does* have a gun, which is probably what is causing the problems. |

I can make it ignore auto kite if that's any help, though in some scenarios it'll be fairly...dumber, just sitting there. |

Maybe I just need to rethink how I use forcefield frigates. If it doesn't auto-kite, it'll just sit there while the rest of the fleet kites away from under it. I'll see what happens if I turn attack-move off for the whole fleet, and micro-manage their positions manually. No need to change anything yet. |
