Summary0022953: Are high-mark ships supposed to cost only as much metal as low-mark ones?
DescriptionUnder How To Play: Offensive Strategies: Bring Low Mark-Ships As Chaff; it says that low-mark ships would be very cheap to produce compared to high-mark ones. On checking how much a mark VI V-Wing costs in the fleet window, it says that it costs 1800 - the same price as a mark I V-Wing.

No. There's a discount on lower Mark units, depending on the difference between them and the highest in a Fleet.

So a MK1 unit would be much cheaper to build if there's a MK7 in the same Fleet. The value there is the base cost.

If that How to Play bit is a bit incorrect for that then I'll fix it. I'll check it in a bit, thank you.

It does make for some potentially interesting strategies with fleet composition. Expensive low-mark ships are great to throw into the mix with high-mark fleets, so that they cost very little and help support the larger fleet. I don't know if that's a strategy anyone has picked up on, but I like it!
