Summary | 0023024: Marauder units shouldn't be worth 0 XP for flagships | ||||
Description | Especially now that marauders get spire raid frigates, they should provide XP for officer flagships. It is very easy for marauders to become a larger threat than the AI when left unchecked in a low AIP situation, and it feels unreasonable that I'm punished with not being able to level up my golem of all things. Any farming that you may be concerned about being done with marauders can be done with AI reserves, CPAs, neutering planets, etc. If you want to prevent farming then the XP system needs to be removed, not by making certain units of factions worthless. | ||||

I've no intention of making any changes to anything XP related, at least while it's in this state. |

AFAIK minor faction units (and extra-galactics) in general don't give XP, is there a design rationale behind this? |

Minor factions at least has been stated it is as is for the time being to limit farming, due to the excessive amount of units they can produce. Can't comment on extra-galactics, but I also do personally agree with Puffin that it's best to wait and see what happens with XP, then balance - and have the devs work on other things until Perks etc. are decided on. |
