Summary | 0023121: Massive warden blob not stacking - causing crash/projectile freezing | ||||
Description | Please see attached the save - go to AI's homeworld and observe the massive warden blob. During an exo wave, if you allow the wave to hit my main chokepoint, and after 0000032:0000020 seconds, go into the system, you will notice much of the time all shots on the system freezing, as well as the incoming wave completely stopping (VERY strange). I'm not sure what's causing the projectile freezing, but I do know that if you throw a fleet somewhere near the AI's homeworld, and the AI reacts with their massive warden blob, it will crash the game, or bring performance down so low that the game's systems don't really work anymore. Resolution - force warden fleets (and hunter) to dramatically reduce the number of fire teams they are creating. A blob of this size should *never* form, regardless of the actual number of ships. | ||||

We really do need something to consolidate excessive fire teams, Badger -- this is coming up in a variety of situations lately, I'm noticing. Not super common, but common enough that we need a relief valve. |
