Summary | 0023145: Quickstart - No Homeworld
Description | When using the quickstart options to start a new game, the Basic 3 and Basic 4 quickstarts (level 6 AI with raiders, and two level 6 AIs with raiders and marauders) don't give the player a homeworld or units; the player starts on a neutral world with no units. (Apologies if this is a duplicate report; I did not see the last report I made show up)

There's a couple issues already on this - fyi custom starts are still working, use the Reset Defaults button if you still have problems with it. Quickstarts are however bugged for the moment. |
|
I'm actively working on it, but it's a funky one. |

Thanks! * Made the exports for data about factions in a game a lot more detailed. * Made it so that if you get a "no human king found" error, it also writes a report about what factions are there. * Fixed a bug during deserialization of savegames/quickstarts that made it so that you had duplicate copies of the WorldSetup used for the lobby and the long-term storage, and that in turn led to chaos like deleting players or other factions or creating many duplicate factions when starting a new quickstart. ** This bug has been in place since April 1st (go figure), but it wasn't really fully rearing its head until yesterday when some unrelated changes made it suddenly more apparent. ** In fact we even had a second copy of this error from the same day in a second spot for loading quickstarts, so it was really going crazy. ** This is less a case of "how did we break this yesterday" and more of a case of "how has this been working at all prior to yesterday for the two weeks prior?" |
