| Description | Been looking at the ai reinforcement budget on a planet, and something didn't add up. How can an AI planet have almost 0 budget invested into defense but the strength be absurdly high? Then I looked at the command and noticed there was 90 something assault frigates inside it. Frigates may not be in a category for AI budget, so this might be why they can put in as many as they want. TL:DR: AI is stuffing tons of frigates on a neutered world. Planet Mnemon and planet Korn are examples. | ||||

Thanks! Great catch. * Fixed a very unusual bug where the AI was basically able to get frigates "for free" as part of their reinforcements in the rare cases that they actually used them. ** Normally the AI does not particularly use frigates, but a few types like the special forces master or turtle do so. ** This bug was allowing for unlimited growth of frigate strength on even planets that had been neutered, but now the strength of frigates are counting against the "strikecraft" AI reinforcement budget. ** This won't fix old saves with too many frigates, but those should be fairly few and far between in general. And it will prevent those games from getting yet more frigates stacked up on the planets in question. |

Hurrah! So that was why I had those absurdly high strength counts on some maps. Happy to see it got found and fixed. ^_^ |
