Summary | 0023516: Old Eye style of outnumbering through unit count (still used by 2 Guardians) does not appear to take stacks into account. | ||||
Description | Cannot provide save of this. I have Eyes set to the Classic incarnation, i.e the player must outnumber the AI 2-1 before it triggers. Noticed odd values that don't add up with the number of AI units present. Upon leaving the planet to avoid altering the trigger value through combat, it slowly started to increase. There were numerous AI units in small stacks (units from a garrison deploy stacked, ignoring the current stack limit somehow while waves do not). The increase in the trigger value seemed to line up with the stacks splitting. Eventually it got to around what it should reasonably be. This led to a scenario where those Guardians were triggered, despite the AI being the one outnumbering. | ||||

Forgot to add - Eye mechanic appears to pre-date stacks by about a week. |

Thank you. Hope DLC2 is going well. For what it's worth, I wasn't intending to criticize, just asking questions about it and answering those I was asked. Was just wanting to better understand things, but that seems to have been taken horribly wrong and different from what it was to me. Apologies for any accidents. I did look more at it, in the files, and I can see the appeal. Curious to see the rest of it. |
