Description | Recently all the repair cooldowns stopped working. Shield under fire? Just assign engineers to repair it and the second no shots are landing on it, they will repair it to full. Command station being damaged? Same thing. Flagship is disabled? Just move it a notch and voila - it can be repaired. Same with battlestations in the middle of combat. I believe there are two issues here: 1. Repairing grace period doesn't work, the only mechanic that works now is that any damage received interrupts repair, but doesn't prevent it in the future (at least not reliably). 2. Restoring disabled pieces no longer requires no enemies or 5 minutes cooldown. It simply requires what looks to be "no enemies to be in firing range". This makes losing the piece even less important, almost to the point where I no longer care as long as my fleet is still fighting and I can move it a bit sideways and rebuild it right away. As for the immediate repair... because of this, defenses with microed engineers focused on forcefields can be much sturdier than before, which I believe is against the general direction of this game, where units are fairly smart on their own and require little attention. | ||||

I did have a weird instance of having no enemy on the planet, yet the command station had to wait 13 seconds before getting rebuild. |

Rebuilding command stations works predictably. You need to wait either 5 minutes when the system is in combat, or something less (but not 0) when no enemy is in the gravity well. So if the enemy snipes the command station and leaves immediatelly, you still have to wait a little. In that case the description says something like "There is no enemy here, so you have to wait *only* 13s". |

Are there any easy savegames that I can load to repro this? Without a shield under fire, it's hard to duplicate this in a way I can get meaningful test from, since most other stuff evaporates quickly. |

dead_flagship_under_fire: A disabled flagship ran just outside enemy range (Planet "Desjani", control group "1"). Ordering nearby engineers to repair it will do just that. Note: The flagship was crippled mere seconds ago. forcefield_repair_under_attack: nearby forces attack the forcefield on planet "Bane". It only lasts a few seconds, but repeatedly ordering the engineers to repair the forcefield makes them do just that - despite the caption on forcefield generator saying "eligible for repair after 5s". |

> One can no longer manually click on a ship that needs repair and get your engineers to repair it Wait, in general? Or just while the repair ineligiblility is in effect? Cause being able to override it in general is quite useful when your engineers decide to spend a fortnite repairing a golem when you have a bunch of transport flagships sitting around crippled not getting their fleets back. |
