In the attached save the Voidpiercer is on Omega Flare.
There are hostile unit on the planet, yet it does not move despite being in pursuit mode and not close enough to attack.

The gungir cruiser shows the same behavior, happily spawning its bombs from the backline but showing no intend to move closer to use its beams, despite being in pursuit mode.
