Description | This reproduced when i closed app and reloaded it. The Jormugandr's multi-beam attack should be centered on itself yet when you unpause you see it repeatedly centered on its target. This bug is not unique to this ship, i've seen it affect many. | ||||

This isn't a bug, it's an actual feature that beam weapons can use. The commit where this thing appears, has the Jormungandr using the Devourer Golems model temporarily. The weapon seems to also be taken from the Devourer. The weapon system has this: distance_from_center_for_beam_emission="150" Commit note: "* Added a new distance_from_center_for_beam_emission for beam weapons, as an optional feature. ** This basically makes multiple beams turn into something that are emitted in a radial offset around the center of the ship, rather than coming out of the center of the ship. ** This is best for things that are large, like golems, and a good amount might be something that is 80% of the radius of the ship itself. ** By itself, this will lead to a bunch of beams that are coming out from a ring and focusing on a center point (like a death star), but if you combine this with degrees_offset_per_beam... it's still going to do that, because the alternative was almost impossible to code. You get to choose if it strikes all targets or just one target, though. " Basically it's a remnant, something intended for the old temporary model the unit had, that doesn't make sense on it now visually. |

But the beams on jormungander do come out in a circle around it, like devourer golem, and it looks fine like that. The issue is when its sometimes for unknown reasons centered on its target unit. |

I can't tell if its visual only, or it impacts the units the beams perceive as hit. I'm not sure it reproduces reliably, did it with this save? |
