Summary | 0002750: fortress and other deployable item targets
Description | i often need to reset preferred targeting for a fortress that is easily in range of the targets in question. however there seems to be no way to do this without triggering a move and thus canceling the repair aura. not sure is it would work better to do a hotkey like x or v with alternate function for deployed objects or to rework the order of the motion buffer vs targeting check to prevent the unintentional movement. please check into it

Wait, I thought fortresses no longer try to move when given an explicit attack order when the target is within firing range. Are you saying that they do move a little, even if the target can easily be hit without moving? |
I think he wants to remove the fortress's attack order. Have you tried hitting End? |
As recently as 4.073 (or whichever one was the one right before official release), fortresses still moved a miniscule amount when given an attack order even if the target is well within range. |
I'll add that it occurs in 5.0 as well (own game) |
just curious has anyone tested this one in 5.002? i think its still happening but havent built a fortress in a while -- finally built a fortress yes this bug still esists fortress will move to attack before it checks range and stops moving to fire |
