Description | I played the game for 3 hours on the "Security Alert" quick scenario. Tried to load the game the next day, savegame corrupted. Deserialization error. No mods were used. Starting a new game and saving/loading the new saves does work. | ||||

None of the saves in Sec Alert.zip will load. I let a game run quickly for about 40 minutes and couldn't reproduce the problem. Was there anything in particular/notable in the game going on? Were you attacking an AI overlord, or were the DS on a rampage, etc.... How far into the game were you? Just trying to find any clues. |

I played for around 3 hours. I recall destroying one of the Communication Beacons (but not both, so AI War didn't start). I had a bunch of zombie ships roaming all over the map. Saw a few Dark Spire activations, they only summoned 1 ship each, however. Maybe my zombies activated them? Not sure. I hacked a beacon for human allies, picked max intensity. I noticed that they got surprisingly strong all of a sudden later on, and I wonder if the Tech upgrade associated with their AI stations did that when I picked it or what. The zombies also often seemed to trigger the allies to jump into systems. That's all I can think of right now. |

We think that this was an issue with a mod that was turning itself on even when it was not supposed to be on in version 5.000. That's now fixed in 5.001. It won't fix the prior saves, but it should prevent the problem from happening anymore. Please let us know if that doesn't do it, though! |

I've never used mods, but if the game has some built-in then I suppose that's possible! |

Yep, the mods are distributed with the game, and that mod had an error that enabled it even if you didn't have it on. |
