Description | Specific topics to explain to people: - On-start WASD to move, and mousewheel to raise and lower camera (thanks to Arphar) - On-second-cell suggestion to do a single new struggle-related dispatch, and consider building a factory. (thanks to Spelguru) for suggesting. --- keep these as persistent todo items until both are done. - struggles --It seems that I need resources to build units to pass a combat check. How do I create these resources? (shoe_bert) - Holding shift makes icons show their full names in tooltips (thanks to Evil Bistro and lordtrogg) - what is your role in the world, and why is it not passive (shoe_bert) - what does the tech tree do for you (shoe_bert) - What is a cohort? lordtrogg - how to earn credits, use CPU cycles, recruit for the neuromind and manufacture via factories it will feel as though I have more agency. (shoe_bert) - what is the entropy value on a struggle? lordtrogg - what's the difference between a struggle and a storyline? lordtrogg - when doing an encounter am I always taking a certain side? what determines that? What if I want to lose the War on Tents? Would I ever want to? lordtrogg - some encounters have circular and others octagonal icons on the map. Some are teal and others orange. What is the significance of this? lordtrogg - I have factory capacity and CPU cycles and no idea what these are used for. This is all resolved in a different way, with the combination of checklists and the strategy tips in tooltips, and then also just making things a lot easier to understand by introducing them in a sensible order. This is not to say more tutorial type stuff won't be needed, but I'll likely rely on the existing toolset that has developed since this, and/or possibly some extra informational popups if there are some really key points. Either way, the original concepts and concerns are all not really there anymore, so whatever is there now is all-new concerns. |
