Especially if you give them the Tactical Rifle. They go nuts on the military bases. |

The save provided does show this for bulk units that are moving. Is there also an example save of this in deter and defend mode, by any chance? |

My saves with a predator squad in Deter and Defend shooting at POI guards, near a military base, the Observatory and an oil field. Moving the squad will draw a load of hate from the POI guards of all nearby locations, but otherwise, very few people actually care about a squad of terrifying robots taking sniper shots from across the road at them. Autosave turn 321: before I've even built a bulk depot to deploy a bulk squad near my base. Predators deployed: just deployed a bulk predator squad. It's agroed the POI guards near where it was placed, but is now shooting at the oil field. Saved on exit turn 328: this is an older save than the others, except 321. Moving the bulk predator squad here will agro *every* POI guard and cause them to shoot at it. They'll then follow the predator and kill it, then go home. Convictor gets involved: The Convictor at the observatory will decide to shoot the predator squad. Sometimes it fires once, sees that it's doing very little damage as the repair spiders fix them up and goes home. Sometimes it stays longer and calls in it's friend for fire support. They eventually get bored and go home. Exit of turn 337: a save where somehow the observatory POI guards have been aggroed. In my own testing, they were able to destroy every android I have. |

An ambient battle between Noio and Vericorp is taking place three blocks north of Harrison Memorial Plant, with Noio winning. After a couple of turns, Noio wins and a sniper subsequently targets the guards at Harrison Memorial Plant. This alerts the POI guards and turns them hostile, which prompts any bulk robots to open fire on them too (though while alerted the POI guards also attack non-blending player assets within a fairly sizeable range too) |

Thanks! * Lots of improvements to NPC targeting, with some various extensions. ** Noncombatants, and guards in a passive stance, are now identified. ** Black ops attackers, and related defenders, will ignore all of the above even if they would normally shoot at them, as they are busy. ** Your own bulk androids will also ignore noncombatants, and will also ignore passive guards. ** Your own bulk androids are also now barred from walking into POIs with a security clearance above 1 (there is no good reason for them to do that, and that sort of pathing was part of what was causing some conflicts. ** This solves: your bulks firing across the fenceline and being jerks in general; your bulks shooting friendly civilians; black ops units shooting across the fenceline and causing trouble for no sensible reason. |
