Summary | 0002944: Transports should show an error message when attempting to unload outside buildable area
Description | Attempting to unload a transport which is currently outside the build limit of a system results in a transport which inexplicably refuses to unload its contents. For a while, this confused me into thinking that a transport with <10 units would fail to unload in enemy territory (I was attempting to drop off scouts in a hostile system). In this situation, an error message of some kind should be shown, to inform the player of the reason the transport is failing to unload. Without feedback, the player is left with the impression that their ship is ignoring them for no reason. This is a Bad Thing (tm).

I was wondering why my transport wasn't unloading and needed to 'free' the troops with a lone enemy ship... |
|
Good idea, I used the Transports less than an hour ago on one of the tutorial missions, trying to get 10 scouts to 2 different planets, I would send the transports off the the edge so the tachyon guard wouldn't decloak my scouts. Took me a while to figure out why it wasn't working after some from trial and error. |
