Summary0002970: Turret caps and huge maps
DescriptionOn a tiny (10 planets) map one can stockpile turrets on planets and not have many repercussions, on a huge map (120 planets) one can hardly find enough for sufficient interplanetary defense (unless you seek out choke points). If I remember right, the game is primarily balanced for 60-80 planets, thus in this instance the game can be too hard (or too easy).

I propose the turret caps be based on number of planets in the game.

Below about 30 planets is a really different game. We don't balance around that with much, and it just in general plays out completely differently than the larger maps. We added it at fan requests.

In terms of turrets, you're absolutely right that they are finite and too few to cover everywhere. This is a core part of the game, and your challenge is to figure out how to allocate your resources such that they do the best possible job given the space you have to cover.
