Summary0002971: Hybrid Hive Observations
DescriptionEarly in my game (3rd-6th hour) I get pounded by 13, 22, and even 35 hybrids attacking a single planet. Later, after I have attack a few IV planets and removed the hive spawner, the hives only attack 1-5 at a time. This makes them ridiculously hard early game and ridiculously easy after that.

For the most part I am unsure if this is common or expected.

That sounds about right, they're sort of the inverse of the normal AI in a number of ways. One way is that they have limited resources and use them all against you, but if you take out those resources you've basically crippled them. Congratulations ;)

I assume that you will eventually figure out a way to give advanced hybrids the ability to "rebuild" lost hybrid part spawners without incurring the potentially exponential growth that the old system was prone too?
