Summary | 0003306: AI carriers recreated shortly after destruction
Description | There was a large amount of threat (5,000ish ships) in one of our border systems, about half of it in carriers. We sent in autobombs to dismantle the non-missile-frigate ships, but shortly after the carriers were destroyed, the AI decided to redeploy the ships that were still being bombed into carriers. Lather, rinse, repeat. They got redeployed back 2-3 times before we had pared stuff down enough to stop triggering it. It seems like the AI doesn't adequately check to see if ships are in combat and/or just exited a carrier before it redeploys them to fill a carrier.

Yup this happens when you dont act fast enough, and I hope it never gets changed cause when it does happen it usually already has the game going at ~ 1 FPS :) I had it happen a couple of times when I nuked carriers in order to have a single Martyr waste all that came out of them. It works, but only if you act litterally seconds after the carriers pop, when the game reaches the point it feels forced to redistibute ships(as in spread them out a bit) it will put them in carriers when a certain number is reached, and those carriers always spawn on a homeplanet. |
