| Description | I'm not 100% certain that it comes from the server, but I keep hearing doors opening and closing. That's the only sound I can hear though; no sounds of attacks, footsteps, anything. EDIT: And the reason for "major" is that, well, when running a server it's supposed to be in the background non-noticable :P | ||||

Wow. Yea, it's major in that the server shouldn't even have the audio subsystem initialized, let alone be pulling sounds into memory (precious, precious server memory). Pretty bizarre. Will look into it, thanks :) |

In case it matters, I started it through the main menu (although if I understood the multiplayer-primer correctly, it shouldn't matter). |

Yea, that really shouldn't matter, if I understand Chris correctly it just runs the same thing you'd type on the command line to start the server directly. Though ya never know with these newfangled machines. |
