DescriptionI seldom use mines, but these have become severely outdated with high-HP ships and buffs to turrets. Considering the mines only do 105k damage (no armour piercing) and costs 360/1200 (120/600 reconstruct) resources which is similar a turret, I see no point in using these.

Looking at the stats of the other minefields: the area minefield does 7 500 (LOL) to no limit of targets, and the EMP has a x10 paralysis with the same 105k one-target damage as the vanilla variant. Significantly, the mines also do not have area effect immunity; the area mine also only has 20k HP.

A damage buff and cost decrease would be nice. Where do you see damage on the btw? It doesn't list any damage value for them at all. I just assumed they did damage = health.

Although 105k is no small amount of damage, they can't inflict it enough times before the self damage takes it out.

How is self damage computed anyways?

And yea, 7500 damage is pathetic by modern standard for a self damaging defensive item, even if it does unbound AOE.

I could add that mines are one of units that are outside of cap scaling. Not sure if thats intended or not.

The self damage is always equal to damage dealt.

The AOE mines deal 7500 damage in the AOE, and to themselves.

So both get about 2 and a half shots off each.

If regeneration was quite a bit higher, and maybe if they had something of a cooldown (so that in a prolonged wave, they would wear out, but occational waves, they would have plenty of time to regen) I would think them fine.

But yea, in current form, not really worth it, aside from EMP (to an extent) unless you literally already spent your entire turret cap, as well as spending all of your knowlege already, then mines might help some.
