Summary | 0000649: edit controls should allow you to press the key you want
Description | Right now you have a huge list to scroll through and try to find the key you want. It makes editing many keys troublesome. Is there a text file instead? It would be better if it would prompt you to press the key that you want to change to.

Yes, we're intending to have it just let you press the key, the input-handling code is actually already there from before but I just didn't realize it when writing that window. And there is a textfile, inputbindings.dat in the same directory as settings.dat. |
|
Low priority for now; post 4.0. But, yes, we also really want it to do that when we have time. |
