Summary0006660: Galaxy Map Screenshot improvement
DescriptionWhen taking screenshots of the galaxy map for AARs, I'm finding the blinking system very annoying as they randomly don't get caught when I press the screenshot button. If their blinking could be disabled either: a) when I press the screen shot key long enough for the screen grab to happen, b) give me a keybind that stops the blinking when held (it can be unbound by default).

With more and more planets seeing action, I'm finding I'm spending more time repairing the missing systems in paint.

I'm not sure what blinking you mean exactly (there's a few different animation things happening), but have you tried temporarily enabling the "Reduce Visual Stimulation" toggle? It basically disables most animations.

And if desired I could add a keybind for toggling that toggle, if it does indeed serve your purpose.

Hilariously, this work-around would work fine, except Reduce Visual Simulation is bugged :) .

So the blinking in question is when there was been fighting on a planet. That planet's star icon blinks on the galaxy map. So when I screen shot, sometimes it is visible, and sometimes it isn't. If more than one planet is blinking, it is basically impossible to get them all to appear in one screen shot.

So I tried Reduce Visual Simulation, and it freezes all blinking planets in their current state. Which means if its blink state is "off" then it never appears again. I found after turning it on and off I managed to finally get it to stop "on" but this will cause the same problem when multiple planets are blinking you won't be able to get the all visible at once.

TL;DR: If Reduce Visual Simulations is fixed to force all blinking planets to draw, then a hotkey for this setting would fix this perfectly.

Oops, I uploaded the wrong save. Amazingly that one actually has no blinking systems at all.

Oh, actually that's not a bug, per se, in that its purpose is simply to stop the animation, but I see your point :)
