Summary | 0006910: Improvement of Alerts and Galaxy Map with Advanced Warp Sensors
Description | My thought for Advanced Warp Sensors it would be nice to improve the UI with a few minor tweaks: 1. If Advanced Warp Sensor is on a planet, display the name of the wormhole the wave is coming from next to the wave notification. (e.g. "90 Fighters, 1 Starships (I) to Planet A from Planet B (02:30)") I think there is no reason not to display the name, if you know anyway. This would improve finding the wormhole on the planetary view, since names are easier to distinguish than colors. 2. In addition to the planet flashing on the galaxy view, again, if a Advanced Warp Sensor is available, it also should be somehow visible from where the wave is coming. This could be done with coloring the connection to the planet in a different color, or also flashing it red. This would make it easier to find the planet that's sending the waves.

I could definitely see applications for this in such cases where the player opted to Cross Planet Waves - Being able to see from the galaxy map where to send a.. preemptive counterstrike, shall we say. |
I especially like suggestion 1. Frequently, the actual wormholes are blocked from view by ships or icons so you can't see the color unless you're zoomed all the way in - it'd be nice to just be able to tell by name in those situations. |
Bumping the issue, it would make my (half) colorblind life easier not having to zoom on every wormhole to see what color it is. |
This is one of the reasons I don't even bother with advanced warp sensors :/ I'm behind this change. |
I like having advanced warp sensors getting more specs but its still not enough to encourage me to unlock it, I think it needs even more! |
Bumping, since it is overseen |
I stopped using it ever since I started using cross-planet waves, which I really like. It would be nice to be able to detect adjacent planet warps so that these sensors are useful in cross-planet settings? I'm not sure whether unit abilities can vary depending on the options players have chosen in the lobby. |
