Description | I have found that near an edge with a monster under me, I am able to stand close to the edge and fire an attack below me and kill it while the monster stays under the edge instead of going around it to attack me. Note: The monster is not stuck in the wall, it is still able to move around under the edge. I tested this by moving from the edge. | ||||

Utahraptors can also get themselves stuck if the game generates a ledge near a slope... http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197988727748/screenshot/540676547556513227 Maybe if the game didn't generate ledges too close to slopes like that. |

I bet this would work using a sideways wall as well, I don't think getting rid of ledges is a reasonable solution to this issue. |

Er, I meant just having the minimum distance between a slope and a ledge be a little larger. |

If you check my screenshots, the issue with the ledge is a bit different. I understand what you mean though. |

Yeah, I know. I was just mentioning another situation in which monsters can get stuck. |

I agree. Monsters should have at least a minimal concept of going around obstacles. |

It seems to be related to their tracking. I've seen this mostly with bats and other flying monsters. They'd be able to get past the ledge if they did a little zig-zag dance |
