Summary0008701: Increase healing from health orbs
DescriptionWhen tiers were changed to levels, the shielding from tiers was removed, but all monsters were given stats equivalent to tier 5 monsters. This means that players take much more damage. Character health seems to have been increased across the board to compensate for this; however, there was no corresponding increase in the amount healed by health orbs.

What this means is that health orbs have become much less relevant. Before the change, I was able to explore pretty much indefinitely on Skilled difficulty, unless I was going into a very deep cave; now I find myself running back to the settlement frequently. I don't know if this is intentional or just an oversight, but running back all the time is getting annoying.

The monster damage hasn't actually changed in terms of their stats compared to what they were on a level-by-level basis. Assuming your levels are equal. Monsters do use the tier 5 style attack patterns, which in turn could mean you're taking more hits of course, but that's only after level 5 and basically just sticks that way.

Still, your point about the healing orbs is aside from that; and I only bring up the above not to argue with you, but to see if that is somehow not what you're experiencing.

Maybe it's just the linear scaling per level; this is happening on continent 9. What is definitely true is that I have much more health than I used to, and I'm taking much more damage than I used to, but healing orbs aren't healing me for much more than they used to.

This is done, but I think you're actually on to something with the damage now that I think about it more.

* Previously the amount of healing that healing orbs would do was not properly increased with the world level, leading to very low healing amounts once you got substantially far into the game.

After more examination, I think tentatively that's all it was. But let me know how it feels after this; it was definitely at least this, it's a question of whether or not there is also a second problem though.
