Summary0008863: Bringing down the overlord requires too many gift items
DescriptionOn the default citybuilding difficulty, mood gifts and profession gifts are the limiting factor in being able to bring down the overlord.

I have everything else I need, but bringing the overlord down to level 6 would take hours of searching stashes for gifts.

It takes a lot of gifts to get a survivor to have the right mood and ability to be able to take on the overlord. (For mood, I might be able to manipulate a survivor into feeling like an "victorious underdog", but that requires finding additional survivors and giving *them* gifts.)

Attack overlord keep (with 0 living lieutenants)
* 500 Difficulty
* 800 Danger
* Max success chance: 75%
* Max survival chance: 60%

With the max survival chance of 60%, the expected number of dispatches for a survivor is 2.5. With the max success rate of 75%, that's 1.875 overlord levels per survivor I bring to the top, on average.

If the RNG hates me, the punishment is extreme: another hour of scouring stashes for gifts.

* The maximum survival percentage for attacking the overlord has now improved from 60% to 85%. For ice pirates, the rate has gone from 80% to 95%.
** This makes the need for mood gift items a lot lower, and also makes it so that it doesn't feel like you're sending NPCs to their death on a whim unless you're simply not getting them happy enough.
