Summary0009243: Threat is just... stopped
DescriptionI was sitting on about 355 threat and I was puzzled why it wasn't showing up, so I looked at some planets adjacent to my captured worlds; the ships were just stopped . No, it wasn't paused :P

I'd attach a save file, but reloading caused the ships to move again :S Though they won't come through and attack. Hmm.

If it helps, no expansions are currently enabled for this game, though I do have them all installed and the latest up to date.

As for the "won't come through and attack", they like to pile up at wormhomes until they're strong enough. The AI won't send their 100 ships through to face your 500 turrets and 6 forts.

I remember this happening in 3.0 and 4.0 but I haven't seen it sense. It was most noticeable with special forces, astro trains, the devourer, and the trader.

I thought we had see the last of it.

It still happens sometimes. I still see it sometimes with freed ships after they have taken out a command station. Instead of moving on to the next planet, they just sit there and do nothing but shoot whatever enemy the happens to come near.

I've also seen it with exo ships (in one notable case, with hunter-killers), though in that case, they got "unstuck" when the AI homeworld they were on was destroyed.

I should probably search and relate these other issues...

I discovered that when i re-routed my fleet off of one of my planets to prepare for an attack elsewhere :x Lost my entire planet in the blink of an eye *cry*

I fixed a ton of these with 6.028; I don't know if this specific one was fixed but I can't tell without a save. If you see it again please open a new mantis record (or reopen this one if you really prefer that) :)
