One of the things I worry about with this kind of a fortress is the insane range and damage output making it a way to straight-up clear entire planets while camping a wormhole. The beachhead idea is there to secure a wormhole given intense opposition, but once you're there you can't just sit back and let the fortress wipe everything out like you could with this things. The assault fortress idea here basically works in reverse, since human fortresses (especially the mark 1s) die crazy fast once enemy ships actually get close to them, so they wouldn't be usable in cases where you actually need to break a wormhole deadlock.
Edit: I hope you don't mind, but I'm going to change the relationship to "related to," since they're very different implementations of similar ideas.

This is basically a golem that requires supply, but that doesn't self-attrition and is buildable at any time. |

AI only and it might work, who knows what the AI is developing in their R&D |

True, I'm withdrawing the suggestion. The AI doesn't need such a thing, it already has a huge arsenal of bigger nasties.
EDIT: Why can't I set the ticket status to closed?

Only Arcen can set status. Resolution and status are different. Don't worry about withdrawing the suggestion. It can easily spark some other idea, or in a year become something that suddenly fits into the game. For example, I'm suddenly wondering if Assault Transports would work:
They have a lot of health and armor, but they destruct 10 seconds after entering an AI controlled system. They have an attack for fairly low damage, but like a Carrier they have increased firepower based on the number of ships carried. |
